About

Who we are

What is Pawtucky?

Pawtucky is a brand new furry convention located in the heart of the Bluegrass State - Georgetown, KY!We are proud to welcome our furry friends to a weekend of fun at the beautiful Hilton Garden Inn Georgetown in our inaugural year of 2026.Pawtucky Fur Con will feature a weekend full of fun panels, gaming, fursuiting, art, and more! The Kentucky furry community has long been a beautiful place of creativity, enthusiasm, and friendship. Pawtucky hopes to be a great home for Kentucky (and other!) furs to join us and showcase the amazing community that calls this region home.If you're wanting to know what Events will happen, what the convention space is like, how to be a part of the Pawtucky Bazaar (the vendor's space), or how to help us make this a great con, we hope you'll check out all of the above tabs for more information!

What is the Con Theme for 2026?

We are thrilled to bring a new convention to Kentucky and we have thusly chosen our inaugural theme: The Furry Revolution!Pawtucky is starting a revolution by bringing a new convention to Kentucky, and you can be a part of it! What does "Furry Revolution" mean to you? Is it the Revolutionary War? The French Revolution? British boy bands?Whatever it is, we hope you'll join and make this a great weekend! Viva la Fandom!

Why a New Con?

The Kentucky furry community has been devoid of a convention for many years. A team of local Kentucky furs has been researching potential convention spaces for almost three years and has finally found a fitting home, and we are pleased to announce that we will finally have a new local convention! The point of a convention, after all, is to convene. We wanted to create a local space for local furs: a place where we can really be ourselves in a safe space close to home, an LGBTQ+ friendly space where we can come together and make memories and connections, and where we can really be Furry. We hope to maintain a convention event for Kentucky and area furs, especially for those who may not have the ability to travel to other existing conventions. We strive to be an event for furries, by furries! Comic cons and other events can be fun but they're not what it's about, we're here to be Furry and free! Pawtucky hopes to be a con that draws from the best aspects of what a con can offer, and more. We want it to be full of fun and surprises, and something that will be unforgettable for everyone involved -- every single year. We want to give back to this community that has given us so much, the same community that helped this con happen in the first place! So we plan to keep it affordable, entertaining, and memorable and we really hope you'll join us to have a great time!

What Kind of Group is Pawtucky?

Pawtucky Inc is a Kentucky non-profit (eagerly awaiting our IRS status as a 501(c)7!) hosting the Pawtucky convention. Pawtucky is a volunteer-led and community-driven group dedicated to providing safe, memorable, and positive experiences for local members of a niche community that is often subject to persecution outside of safe spaces. With the help of our members and volunteers we hope to provide an annual convention in Kentucky where our group can convene and have a great time, while at the same time providing an opportunity for the growth of small enterprise, the raising of money for impactful charities, and spreading of awareness of important causes, among other things. The "Furry Fandom" is a group of like-minded individuals with an interest in anthropomorphism, particularly in animals, meaning the attribution of human characteristics to non-human entities.A "Furry" is a member of the Furry Fandom, either through contribution of creative works (including the creation of characters, artworks, written works, costume design or performance, and more) or one who sees themselves aligned with the Furry Fandom despite not having a Fursona (a furry character). Pawtucky is a Furry-owned, Furry-led, and Furry-based organization with no intention of creating capital gain from the convention or its members.By achieving non-profit status, Pawtucky is able to host a convention for its members while guaranteeing community-based actions.

Who Can Attend Pawtucky?

Pawtucky will be a convention serving members of the furry community and those with furry-aligned interests. Pawtucky will be an All Ages event and attendees over 18 will be required to show Photo ID at badge pick-up to confirm their age. Attendees over 18 must have an unexpired government-issued Photo ID (Driver's License, Military ID, Passport, Tribal Card, etc) when you pick up your badge on Friday (which will be the only day for pickup in the inaugural year; more information in Register tab). The Code of Conduct for the event must be followed for our members' safety! Our goal is to ensure our members stay safe while having fun in a furry space! We will also be taking accessibility measures with our programming and hotel blocks, such as adding Handicap-accessible hotel rooms to our con block which have wider doors and lower counters/surfaces, as well as all convention spaces being ground level. All rooms can be accessed by wheelchair! There is a limited quantity of pet-friendly rooms and we kindly ask that you only book one of these rooms if you have a service animal and not a pet.

Events & Programming

Guests of Honor

Pawtucky 2026 would like to welcome Lexington native Brian Reynolds as our very first Guest of Honor! Brian, otherwise known as ToonFX, has been an artist in the furry fandom since the late 90s and has experience with 2D, 3D, and Flash animation! An experienced and enthusiastic artist and character designer, we hope you'll join Brian for his Character Design Panel, and we also hope you'll welcome the new cast of Pawtucky mascots as brought to life by Brian himself! Stop by his booth in the Bazaar to say hi and check out some amazing art!

Pawtucky 2026 would also like to welcome Lexington native Troublesome Kitty as our secondary Special Guest! You may know her as TK, or maybe as Snarl, and of course you can't forget Cedar, and recently you may even know her as Karrot, but whatever name you know for her, you also know her as a shining beacon of community involvement and family friendliness in the furry fandom! We hope you'll join TK for the Talent Show where she'll be our Guest Judge with the help of her spouse, and if you feel like getting your ears talked off about model horses you can join her for her Breyer Panel!

Talent Show

How do I sign up for the Talent Show?

Pawtucky will be proud to host its very first Talent Show in 2026, where you can showcase your talent to an eager crowd (and of course, Guest Judges Troublesome Kitty and her lovely spouse)! We are accepting Video Submissions for the Talent Show using THIS FORM, and you can submit just about anything that you consider your talent! Got some sick card tricks to show us? Got a song you wrote that you'd love to share? Think your stand-up routine is worthy of the floor? Submit your act for your chance to perform your act live! We want to see what you can do, and see all the awesome talents and abilities of the local fandom! All rules and information about the Talent Show can be found in the registration link above!Submissions will be reviewed by Staff members who will decide whether the acts are impressive enough to be performed live at the con! Each participant selected to perform their act live at the Talent Show will be given an exclusive Talent Show ribbon which they will receive at the completion of the Talent Show! The winners of the Talent Show will also receive an an exclusive medal!A team of Judges may decide which acts will participate and will offer their input after each act of the Show, but the Audience will decide the winner! We'd like to emphasize the importance of fun over competition, so the winner will be chosen purely based on being the audience's pick for favorite and not based on being the "best" act. Acts of all kinds are welcome and people of all skill levels are encouraged to apply! Whatever you can do, we want to see it!

Panels

How do I host a Panel?

Prospective Panelists may submit their Panel ideas using THIS FORM! All Panels (except for Game Room panels which may request additional time based on estimated duration) will be hour-long and will count as a Volunteer hour for the Panelist(s)! If a Game Room panel goes over one hour, the Panel will still only count as one Volunteer hour. Up to 2 Panelists per Panel may claim the hour (but both must be listed as hosts on the initial Panel Submission Form), and Panelists are not required to attend the Volunteer Orientation (unless they are also Volunteering). Sadly this means Panelists will not receive the Volunteer ribbon, but they will receive a separate exclusive Panelist ribbon! Panelist ribbon may be redeemed after completion of the panel by speaking with the Volunteer Coordinator, and only one ribbon per panelist will be awarded regardless of panel quantity completed. All other information and guidelines regarding Panel opportunities can be found in the registration link above!

Charity & Auction

What is the Charity for 2026?

Please welcome Save Our Strays as the Charity for the Inaugural Pawtucky Furry Convention! SOS is an amazing area-based charity focused on the Trap and Release of community cats (aka "feral cats") as well as the placement of working cats into farm homes. You can learn more about their amazing cause HERE, and of course you can come out to Pawtucky to support them in-person!

How do I contribute to the Charity Auction?

The Pawtucky Charity Auction will benefit the current year's Charity! It will be a Silent Auction in which the items for bid are displayed on a table with corresponding bid sheets. If you want to help raise money for the Charity, you can sign up to donate an item to the auction!Anything furry or fandom related may be submitted, and all money raised from the item's auction will benefit the Charity. We will only accept All Ages items for the Auction. Any items composed of textiles (fursuit parts, clothes, tapestries, etc) must be new or lightly used, and in visibly good condition. Any artwork must be attributed to its original artist. If you want to donate something that fits the current year's theme that would be awesome, but either way we'll be thrilled for any contributions!Use THIS FORM to indicate what item(s) you wish to donate and attach pictures of the item(s), and you will be contacted if your donation is accepted (and it's very unlikely it won't be!) You can either hand your item to a Staff member at some point before the con, or you can bring it with you to hand over when you register on Friday.Your donation will help an awesome charity, and you will not receive a ribbon for your contribution but you will receive a free con sticker!

Get Involved

There will be several roles available to those who want to help make this an awesome event! We are looking for Volunteers, donors to the Charity Auction, Panelists, and vendors to deal in the Bluefield Bazaar! We also need acts for our Talent Show! For information on how to deal in the Bazaar, submit an ad for the Conbook, sign on as a Volunteer, collect reward Ribbons, or help in other ways, keep reading below! For information on how to host a Panel, donate to the Charity Auction, or join the Talent Show, please visit the Events & Programming tab!Another great way to help out is to donate money to the selected Charity of the con year -- this year we're supporting Spay Our Strays! If any section below mentions a Form that is to be filled out, you will find it on this page when the form is open!

Conbook

Interested in putting an ad into the Convention Booklet? You can visit the Google Form HERE! and apply for a slot! Payment will be due once your ad is approved. You will need to prepare either the finished ad or an ad mockup for review. There is a limit of one ad per member/business.The following sizes will be available (the size of the booklet for the first year will most likely be 5x8 landscape)

  • (6 slots) small 1/6 page / roughly business card size - $15

  • (6 slots) medium 1/4 page / roughly index card size - $30

  • (1 slot) half page ad / roughly postcard size - $50

Small ads will need to be sized to print at an aspect ratio of 2.5:2.67 horizontally. Medium ads will need to be sized to print at an aspect ratio of 8:5 horizontally and Half Page ad must be sized at an aspect ratio of 5:8 vertically and all applying members must prepare the ads themselves without staff assistance.

Bazaar

We hope you'll join us at our vendor space, the Pawtucky Bazaar! Read below for more information on the Bazaar and to find out how to sign up to be a vendor.

Pawtucky vendor registration is linked on our registration page! All vendors/dealers must agree to the TOS as outlined HERE Pawtucky vendors will be allowed one free Helper at their table, and for the first year only one table will be allowed per vendor. Split tables are allowed but each vendor will not be allowed a separate Helper in this case, since there will only be space for two people per table, and one vendor must still pay the full cost. Vendors and Helpers must have have applied for Pawtucky convention registration/membership before applying for a table.Table fees will be $50 per table and you will not need to pay at the time of application. Pawtucky staff will review each application and ensure all vendors meet vendor policies. Payment for your table will be due upon acceptance of your vendor spot.If you're not an artist but would still like to support the Bazaar, read below in the "Is there anything else I can do?" section to read about special rewards you can earn for supporting our amazing vendors!

Volunteer

How do I sign up as a Volunteer, and what will I be doing?

You may sign up to volunteer using our official Volunteer Sign-Up forms on our registration page! After filling out the form you will be contacted and questioned about your interests in volunteering. Roles that we will need filled are the following: Charity Auction Sitter, Bazaar Bouncer, Badge Checker, Con Store Attendant, Gopher. We also have very limited slots open for Official Photographers. Application can be found on our ConCat link but you find more info below about the available roles!Volunteers are allowed to pick an assignment they prefer, or sign up to be a "Gopher", where they will be sent to the task most-needed at the time. Volunteers are welcome to pick up as few or as many hours as they'd like.

  • Charity Auction Sitter will be in charge of sitting at the Charity Auction Table (location TBD) and ensuring all of the donated items are safe, and that all bids placed by members are in the appropriate form (i.e. the right bid is placed for the right item), as well as answering any questions that bidders may have (or directing their questions to the appropriate Staff member or Donator, if applicable). This will be a seated position.

  • Bazaar Bouncer will be a volunteer dedicated to giving breaks to vendors in the Pawtucky Bazaar. The Merch Room Sitter will check in with vendors and if they need to leave their booth for a meal, bathroom break, or any other matter, the Sitter will sit at the Booth and ensure merch is safe while the vendor is away, as well as giving folks an ETA for their return. Much of this role requires volunteers to be on their feet, because they will be "Bouncing" around between tables. We would very much like to have enough Volunteers for this role but if we are not able to meet minimum Volunteer numbers sadly this role will get the axe for the first year!

  • Badge Checker will be any Volunteer that sits outside of an official Con Space (Panel Room 1, Panel Room 2, Game Room, Headless Lounge/Quiet Area) and ensures anyone who enters that space is a registered attending member who has an accurate, official, current-year con registration badge. The two special exceptions for Badge Checker are for the Headless Lounge/Quiet Area and for the Game Room. The Badge Checker for the Headless Lounge/Quiet Area will sit inside the Suite and check badges of those who attempt to enter. While inside the room, the Badge Checker will monitor that no photography is taking place, and that conversations/music/handheld games/etc remain at an appropriate volume, since this room is to be used not only as a cooling-down area for suiters but also as an accessible safe space for sensory needs. The Badge Checker for the Game Room will also be located inside the Game Room instead of at the door. The Badge Checker will sit at a table that has numerous board games available for free loan to attendees. When someone wants to borrow a game, the Badge Checker will collect their con registration badge and hand them the game. When the game is returned, the Badge Checker will return the badge to the attendee. Badge Checker will be a seated position.

  • Pawtucky will accept photography submissions after-the-event for consideration to be included in our official public Flickr gallery. Photos featured on the website and other published materials will only be accepted from Official Photographers. Pawtucky will have very limited slots open for Official Photographers. If you apply to be an OP please attach a gallery featuring examples of your work. Even if you are accepted for the role, we cannot guarantee all (or any) of your work will be featured on the website due to limited space but we WILL include it in our public Flickr gallery with credit.

  • Gophers will be in charge of running miscellaneous errands -- either performing one of the above duties if dedicated Volunteers aren't available, or helping out with unexpected tasks that may arise. If you really want to help, sign up to be a Gopher! Gopher roles may be seated or may be active.

All of these con positions are critical however, because if we are unable to have a Volunteer assigned to them, Staff members will be forced to fill these roles (taking them away from whatever else they may need to work on). If deemed necessary, it is possible that con spaces will need to be temporarily closed. Anyone who Volunteers their time at Pawtucky will form the backbone of the con, and we cannot thank you enough!

Why should I volunteer?

It is well known that Volunteers are the life's blood of any event, especially conventions! If you choose to Volunteer, you are critical to keeping the con running smoothly, and honestly, keeping it running at all. Because of this, it is only fair that we reward our Volunteers for the time they donate to help this event a success.Volunteers will be expected to log their hours via a dedicated tab on the official Pawtucky Discord Chat, (please check back later for link) or Telegram if Discord is not able to be used. The Volunteer Coordinator will verify each post and assign the appropriate number of credits to each volunteer. Charity Auction Sitter, Badge Checker, and Con Store Attendent will be hourly positions. Gopher will be an as-needed position and may accrue less time if the assigned task is shorter, however the time donated will be rounded up to the nearest increment of 5 minutes. The Volunteer Coordinator will also "round up" a Volunteer's hours as appropriate if they are very close to an hour. When the con begins there will be a Volunteer Orientation that all Volunteers are required to attend. At the Orientation, instructions for tasks and other info will be given, and every volunteer will receive their first gift: an exclusive Volunteer ribbon that may be affixed to their con registration badge! At the conclusion of the con, volunteers will be rewarded for the hours they serve with different benefits!Volunteers are required to self-report their hours in the Volunteer Chat tab of the Discord, and will be informed of how to do so at the Orientation. We are operating on the honor system and if you are discovered to abuse this system and lie about your hours you will be denied your rewards, so please be honest, especially since our Volunteer Coordinator will be rounding up people's hours! The prizes for volunteering and the requirements to receive them are listed below!

  • Volunteer Ribbon: Sign up to Volunteer and attend the Volunteer Orientation (Friday evening)

  • Exclusive Sticker (sticker featuring art by GOH): Log 1 Volunteer hour

  • Pawtucky Lanyard: Log 5 Volunteer hours. The Pawtucky lanyard will only otherwise be a Sponsor/staff reward and will not be sold!

  • Pawtucky Hero Ribbon* and Early Bazaar Access Voucher for next con year: Log 8 Volunteer hours. In addition to a nifty Pawtucky Hero ribbon, Volunteers who log 8 hours will be given an Early Access Voucher to the Pawtucky Bazaar to redeem the following year of the con. This voucher will allow the holder to enter 15 minutes early to the Bazaar on Saturday, a right otherwise given only to Supersponsors!

  • Free Standard-level Con Registration to the next con year: Log 12 Volunteer hours

Is there anything else I can do?

In fact, there is! Maybe you're not able to sign up as a Volunteer or don't feel you have anything to contribute to the other possibilities above, and we understand! But there are other ways you can help, and get prizes for doing so!We will have exclusive conbadge ribbons for people who complete certain tasks and meet certain criteria. People love collecting ribbons, and we love giving them out! Therefore we have created exclusive ribbons for people to collect, and we'll tell you how to get them. Here is a rundown of all the ribbons we will be giving out at the con, and the requirements to receive them:

  • Chair/Vice Chair/Official Photographer/Staff Ribbons*: Only available to Staff members

  • First Time Attendee Ribbon*: Attend Pawtucky for the first time

If you are awesome enough to help all the furry vendors that showed up by showing them your support, you deserve it!

You can choose to either donate them permanently or only for the duration of the event. E-mail a Staff member using the following address to discuss donating a board game/equipment or with any other questions:[email protected]We hope you will show your support to Pawtucky by providing help in one (or all!) of the above ways! But even if you can't give your time we hope you come out and have tons of fun with us! YOU make this con happen!
